Surgical Facilities
Dr. John practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery
and works in the private Sandalwood office as well as in the
hospital. Currently, Dr. John is affiliated with Huron
Valley-Sinai Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital. |

Dr. John graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with high distinction. She has received awards in analytical chemistry and biochemistry. Dr. John graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1998 and completed a general practice residency in dentistry at Albert Einstein Medical Centers in Philadelphia, PA. In 2003, she completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at St.Vincents Catholic Medical Centers of Brooklyn and Queens,NY. Upon her return to Detroit, MI , she assumed the position of Division Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. Her hospital experience continued at Detroit Receiving Hospital as a full time attending working closely with the residency program. Dr. John is fully licensed and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She has been trained extensively in dentoalveolar procedures including extractions, implant and bone grafting procedures, orthognathic and trauma surgery as well as oral pathology and anesthesia.
